Aviation Week: Passenger, Cargo Airlines Band Together In Support Of Open Skies

A new coalition of U.S. airlines has thrown its support behind the government’s existing open skies policy, in direct opposition to the groups led by the legacy carriers, which have called for the U.S. to begin consultations with the governments of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and to freeze incoming capacity from those countries.  The group, U.S. Airlines for Open Skies, consists of cargo carriers Atlas Air and FedEx Express, along with Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue.
